News The benefits of Samsung's foldable smartphones
Samsung is expanding its Galaxy Z range with three new foldable smartphones: the compact Galaxy Z Flip8, the versatile Galaxy Z Fold8 and the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra for those who want to make the most of a large screen. All three run on Android 17 with One UI 9 and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor.
Multitasking on a large screen
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra unfolds into an impressive 8-inch screen. With a two- or three-window layout, you can open a quote, mailbox and video call side by side. This allows your employees to edit documents, review contracts or show a presentation to a customer without taking a laptop with them. Yet when unfolded, the device is only 4.1 mm thick and weighs 215 grams.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 follows the same principle, but has a slightly smaller 7.6-inch main screen with a 4:3 aspect ratio. The spacious display provides plenty of room to view long documents and reports clearly. At 201 grams, the device is also light and easy to carry.
Compact for those constantly on the move
For teams that spend all day on the go, the Galaxy Z Flip8 is the logical choice. Folded, it fits into any inside pocket; unfolded, it offers a 6.9-inch screen. At 180 grams and just 6.1 mm thick, it’s the slimmest and lightest Flip Samsung has ever made.
The 4.1-inch cover screen displays apps, notifications and shortcuts. This allows your employees to confirm an appointment or reply to a message between two customer visits without opening the device.
Smart assistance for everyday tasks
All three devices run on One UI 9, Samsung's latest software, with Galaxy AI built in. For those who spend all day switching between emails, calendars and customer files, this can save a significant amount of time.
In the morning, for example, the home screen can show what you need to start your day efficiently: from your first appointment and the route to get there to messages that require follow-up. On the Galaxy Z Flip8, this overview appears on the cover screen.
The assistant also takes care of many tasks that would otherwise require you to switch between apps. Simply ask in everyday language what you need, and the assistant carries out the task in the appropriate app. This now works across more than 40 apps and services, from checking your calendar to confirming a reservation.
Seven years of worry-free management
Your IT manager benefits too. Samsung Knox security is built into the chip of every device and is active from the moment the device is switched on. Sensitive business data and data processed by Galaxy AI are protected through encryption. If the device detects a risk, it immediately alerts the user.
Samsung is also providing all three models with seven years of Android upgrades and security updates. So you already know how long Samsung will support the devices. You can plan device replacement within your organisation more effectively and spread the investment over several years.
